The stiffness of HM minimizes bending in the central strut area of the mast, while the high tensile strength of IM accommodates the complex shapes of the upper plate and hull connection.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eThe result is a performance mast consisting of premium materials, a new mast section, a refined base plate, a drag-reducing fuse connection, and a new construction method. Proprietary titanium M7 mast top hardware provides a strong, lightweight, and drag-reducing connection to the board.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eThese masts are designed with a mast rake angle. This finely tunes the angle of the board in relation to the Foil for a more comfortable and forgiving ride. It does not change the buoyancy or balance of the Foils itself and has no influence on the \"foot pressure\" preload of the Foils at the front or rear. The rocker of the board also directly determines the effective mast rake - boards from different brands have a variety of different rocker lines that influence the rake angle - and more rocker in the rear half of the board effectively increases the mast rake.
