Description
Whether you're a beginner or just want to enjoy a cruise session, the Chancho is a super easy-to-surf, stable board that catches waves effortlessly. For its medium size, the Chancho offers plenty of volume and a flat nose rocker that makes it possible to catch waves early. Its V-bottom contour, which runs from the fins to the tail, helps with effortless turning.
The board is an evolution of the popular WATER HOG board by shaper Al Merrick.
Dimensions Volume
8.0 x 22 1/4 x 3 63 Lit
Fin box: Futures Thruster
Includes: Board without fins
TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY
Torq X-Lite technology takes the already innovative epoxy construction to new heights in terms of weight and performance.
The core of the boards consists of a custom-made, high-precision EPS blank, which is wrapped in biaxial fabric and epoxy resin. An additional layer of wood sandwich is incorporated into the deck of the X-Lite boards, which evenly distributes the pressure from impacts across the surface, thereby protecting against dings and heel dents.
The underside features a torsion-resistant carbon strip that controls the flex and makes the board incredibly responsive.
Compared to conventional PU/polyester construction, the X-Lite construction stands out for its more environmentally friendly production process and its unmatched weight-to-durability ratio.
