Through years of working with epoxy surfboards and developing and testing pre-preg materials, we have developed the world’s first EPS/epoxy pre-preg surfboard. This is a significant advancement in surfboard technology.
The term “prepreg” describes a material in which the resin is mechanically pre-impregnated under controlled conditions. Prepreg composites are cured under heat and high pressure. This curing process ensures a much stronger hardening of the resin.
The benefits for surfboards are numerous—greater precision, fewer defects, perfect reproducibility—but the greatest advantage lies in the interplay of the key performance factors: flex and strength-to-weight ratio.
