The following types are available:
From the Competition Leash (suitable only for lightweight boards and smaller waves), to Regular Leashes (all-around leashes for all board types and conditions), all the way to Big Wave Leashes (extra-thick leashes for SUP boards or extreme conditions; these leashes are stiffer and heavier and therefore not recommended as all-around Leash)
The length of the Leash depends on the board length.
The Leash should be no more than 5–6 inches longer or shorter than the board:
6-foot Leash = 5.6–6.6-foot board length
7-foot Leash = 6.6–7.6 feet board length
8 feet Leash = 7.6–8.6 feet board length
9 feet Leash = 8.6–9.6 feet board length
10 feet Leash = 9.6–10.6 feet board length
