We present the Loftsails Escape 2026/2027.

Formerly known as the Skyscape, the Loftsails Escape 2026 for years of fine-tuning, outstanding test results, and a growing appreciation for how versatile this design has become. Originally developed as a pure freefoil sail, the Escape has also proven itself on the fin, with smooth freeride handling and even genuine freerace performance when the wind picks up.

With a slightly higher aspect ratio and a shorter Boom The Escape combines the low drag of a hydrofoil with direct, crisp feedback underfoot. The no-cam layout and lightweight construction make maneuvers effortless and help you keep your board cleanly trimmed in any situation.

For 2026, almost all details have been revised to further enhance the Escape's all-round qualities. Newly tuned luff curves and optimized batten alignment improve balance and lower the sail's center of gravity for a more neutral feel in your hands. A deeper cut foot increases control and aerodynamic efficiency at full power, while the new 30 mm mast panel seam and 5 mil foot panels increase durability for demanding sessions.

Shape and trim range remain among the Escape's greatest strengths. The new 2026 luff curves and finely tuned horizontal shaping provide an enormous tuning range and adapt easily to changing conditions. Double clew eyelets further extend the usable wind range, so that every size performs impressively across a wide wind spectrum.

On the fin in light winds, the Escape rewards you with an active riding style, precise sail work, and pumping to get you planing early. However, as soon as pressure builds in the sail, it transforms completely, delivering stability, speed, and a surprising amount of freerace drive.

Rounded off with a clean, functional minimalist design that saves on unnecessary material and lowers the sail's center of gravity, the Escape 2026 is ready to give you freeride freedom and foiling flight whenever and however you want to ride.
