We present the Loftsails Purelip 2026/2027.

With over 20 years of continuous development, the Purelip has long been the benchmark for uncompromising wave performance. Designed for the toughest conditions, it excels in waves, bump-and-jump, and on those really big days.

The Purelip 2026 brings fresh optimizations to the proven setup. Higher aspect ratios mean shorter Booms, which improves handling and responsiveness. Revised luff curves provide more control across an even wider wind range. The realignment of the batten angles shifts power and weight further downward, for a lighter, more balanced feel in your hands.

Stability and ease of handling remain clear hallmarks: Starting at size 3.7, a 5-batten layout is used, ensuring top-end stability. New double Kevlar radial reinforcements at the clew keep the profile clean even under heavy pressure and distribute loads efficiently, ensuring consistent performance and a long service life.

Durability has also been further enhanced: New 5-mil panels in the foot area and a robust 30-mm-wide mast seam ensure high resistance to wear and tear in the rigors of daily wave riding. The complete X-Ply Construction remains intact, as does Loftsails’ exclusive Integrated Panel Concept (IPC) with overlapping reinforcements at the head, tack, and clew, for unmatched strength. The head section consists of double-layered Dacron, which makes rolling up the sail easier and increases durability.

The new 2026 design is pure functional minimalism: Less unnecessary marker material and scrim lower the center of gravity and further improve durability.

Like all Loftsails models, the Purelip offers a wide trim range and extremely precise response when tuning. Two clew eyelets and three micro battens across all sizes allow you to fine-tune the leech tension perfectly—even with a tight trim, the sail remains calm and flutter-free.

No tubular battens that break on breakwaters—Loftsails relies instead on its proven standing battens. These deliver powerful, drive-oriented performance while also withstanding a lot of abuse. From abrasion-resistant mast protection to cleverly placed PVC reinforcements, every detail is designed for durability and tough conditions.

Founded in 1999 by Monty Spindler, with over 25 years of pursuit of the perfect sail

Loftsails was founded in 1999 by Monty Spindler and has been one of the most unconventional windsurfing sail brands for more than two decades. Spindler develops and tests all sails in Tarifa, one of the windiest and most challenging spots in the world. What works there goes into production. What doesn’t work there never makes it to market. This isn’t a marketing promise—it’s the fundamental principle behind every Loftsails collection. Spindler publicly explains his design decisions in a video series where he directly answers questions from the community, and he personally stands behind every sail that bears his name.

Wind Vision: The Approach Behind the Sails

Loftsails represents a clearly defined design approach that Spindler calls Wind Vision: sails that are stable, efficient, and controllable across a wide wind range without sacrificing peak performance. Specifically, this means: IPC (Integrated Profile Control) for a stable profile across the entire wind range, TekCam as the camber system for the Freerace line, and a consistent selection of materials focused on durability and profile stability. The result is sails with a distinct character: controlled, responsive, and predictable.

A complete lineup for all windsurfing disciplines

Loftsails covers all disciplines, from wave to PWA slalom. The Purelip and Wavescape are designed for waves and bump & jump; the Oxygen and Switchblade for freeride and freerace; the Racingblade and Formulablade for competition; and the Skyblade and Escape for Foil. In addition, there are dedicated masts in 50%, 75%, and 100% carbon, in RDM and SDM configurations, which are consistently matched to the sails.
