We present the Loftsails Oxygen 2026/2027.
Over the years, the Oxygen has established itself as one of themost reliable and proven freeride sails ever—with a history marked by decades of design refinement and top results in magazine tests.
As a true freeride sail, the Oxygen makes your life on the water easier: quick to set up, snappy in acceleration, and with impressive speed across the course. The pressure point is centered on the rider, and the progressive, even power delivery ensures that the sail naturally settles into a stable, active riding position – so you can just get going.
The Oxygen has been further developed for 2026:
Higher aspect ratios and shorter Booms improve handling and make the sail feel lighter. New luff curves and revised batten alignment shift power and weight lower for even more balance and responsiveness. The slightly lowered foot profile provides extra punch, especially when you're sailing at full power.
All sizes continue to come with multiple tube battens —actually a feature from the race sector—which gives the Oxygen powerful propulsion and rock-solid stability in high winds. New batten specs further refine the "locked-in" character, giving you both decent pressure at the bottom and clean, efficient performance in increasing winds.
Thanks to two clew eyelets, the already large wind range has become even wider:
-
The upper eyelet (above the cross batten) provides more power in light winds.
-
The lower eyelet (below the cross batten) helps you trim the sail nice and soft in strong winds.
Durability has also been further enhanced in 2026:
New 5 mil panels in the foot area are more durable. As before, there are two construction variants:
-
The standard version combines a 4 mil X-Ply window with 4 mil Bi-Ply panels in the upper area.
-
The HD version features a 4 mil X-Ply window and ultra-robust 2 mil Quad-Axial panels at the top for even greater durability.
The head section is still made of double-layer Dacron, which makes it easier to roll up and increases durability. New is a 5 mil Kevlar-reinforced panel at the clew that extends to the batten above the fork—for more protection, both on the water and when stowing.
The new 2026 design focuses on functional minimalism: less unnecessary marker material and scrim, which lowers the center of gravity and improves durability.
Conclusion:
With the Oxygen 2026, you get a freeride sail that sets standards in terms of simplicity, speed, and control —no matter what the day brings.
